Hello…this is driving me crazy…please help!
I have a radio button field called product with the choices:
Title
Mortgage
Not Required
I have another field thats just a text/editable field.
If the product field is = to “Not Required”, I want the text/editable field to be set to N/A. Easy enough…I used:
@If(ti_po_5_1=“Not Required”;“N/A”;fi_ac)
But when the user goes back and chooses something other than Not required after they have already done it once, the text/editable doesn’t reset back to blank. I can see why that happens with my logic in the field.
So how can I fix my formula for it to set back to blank if they choose something else after already selecting Not Required.
Thanks in advance!

Put your logic into the “input translation” event of the radio button instead.

Thanks for your reply…but that doesnt quite work. That sets my product field to the N/A value that Im trying to set the text/editable to.
I used:
@If(ti_po_5_1=“Not Required”;“N/A”;fi_rec)

Now I just tried this:
@If(ti_po_5_1=“Not Required”;@SetField(“fi_rec”;“N/A”);“”)
and that sets the text editable field to N/A but also sets my product field to N/A for some reason…didnt see how that happened. And it also makes my product field blank when I change back to Title or Mortgage.

I’m assuming that if they choose something other than “Not Required” then they can enter something into the field and you won’t want that deleted when the doc is saved…
@If(ti_po_5_1=“Not Required”;“N/A”;@If(fi_ac=“N/A”;“”;fi_ac))
Not tried it but it should be close to what you want

You assumed correctly and that worked perfect. Thanks!!!
