Hi

I have two forms, FormA and FormB. FormA is parent doc, and FormB is child doc. I need to pass two fields from FormA to FormB, so I enabled Formulas inherit values from selected documents Form option. My problem is that when I save FormB, docA takes FormB structure. I show FormB with Dialogbox method. Why does Notes lose docA structure changing to FormB structure?. It must be keep FormA structure. Somebody can help me?

There is a dialog box property [NOFIELDUPDATE] which will prevent data from your response document (in the dialog box) from being written back to the parent document

dialog boxes pass back the field values to the calling document for fields with the same names and so the field Form with ‘FormB’ value gets passed back to field Form in FormA when dialog box closes.

Read more on dialog box in help, do NOT use Dialog box for this type of work, open a new document directly.
