Folder Pane Issue - Folder List Cut-Off

I recently had a call from a user who was unable to scroll down through her list of folders … some 1400+ of them. Right now it’s a one-off issue.

She would get the scoll bar that would allow for srolling to a point. It would go so far and then go no further…as if it had reached the end of the folders. Using DWA she could access the folders without issue - regardless of template.

Testing:

Notes 7.0.2 client - dwa7 and inotes6 template

= the issue described above

Notes 8.5.1 basic - dwa7, inotes6 and mail85

= the issue described above

Notes 8.5.1 standard - mail85 template

= issue is resolved

I’ve also tried compact, fixup, updall.

I’ve created an ‘offline’ copy of the db but the problem persists.

I strongly suspect that it’s something in her folder names. Are there characters that should never be used in a folder name?

I have another user with more folders and he doesn’t have this issue.

I don’t mind upgrading the user to 8.5.1 client and template (that’ll be happening soon for all my users) but I do worry I will run in to issues where standard will not run on the users hardware.

Anyone seen this before?

Subject: Can’t Scroll through folders

I have a user experiencing the same time; long list of folders, can’t scroll to the bottom and the scroll bar goes all wonky. If the user closes his mail file and re-opens it clears, but that gets annoying. He’s using 8.5.2.

Any ideas?

Subject: Same issue here

I have it on a user who had it on 8.5.2. Upgraded them to 8.5.2 FP3 with no improvement.

Funny thing is that if I open the mailfile on my machine, it works fine with FP3 on it.

Temporarily have them running an inotes6 template as a workaround.

Hello, All. Has anyone come-up with a solution to this? My 8.5.2 users are starting to rebort these types of issues, slowly, but surely.
