FIXED email direct to internet adds name & % to email address

Hi,

I have just installed the notes client 7.0.2 onto my laptop.

I set up the direct connection to send and receive mail to and from the internet as per normal.

Sending and receiving is ok so no problems with the firewall etc. (unless that is somehow modifying my outgoing mail )

However.

I am getting my user name which has an underscore followed by a % sign added to the internet email address.

I have not had this before. I installed the upgrade on my desktop and that works fine.

Where is this picking up from and how to fix it?

My location documents etc all seem ok. The only part I can find in notes that has an underscore in my name is my id. This is referenced in the location document for when logging in and also in the ini.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Edited update

A answer was a simple combination of a few things. One a worrying factor but can be fixed when using a domain server.

Under the tools preferences. The user name was set simply to my first and last name. it did not include my middle initial. My email address however did.

Notes tries t be cleaver and builds the internet email address from this and added an underscore. well thats what seemed to happen.

When I changed this back to a first middle initial and last name. Also ensured that the location doc had my name in it in internet email address and the internet domain.

it all worked fine.

This is a stand alone client and is NOT connected to any notes domain.

I hope people find this update fix useful
