Fix packs and 8.5.2

Hello,

I have few general questions?

  1. Our current domino serve runs on 8.5.1, if I want to install Fixpack4, can I install without installing FP 1, 2 and 3?

  2. I read about downloading Domino 8.5.2 by changing the country name to Ireland? Does it work, cause even if I change the country name, it comes back to USA and I can not download 8.5.2?

  3. If any one has already installed 8.5.2, can you share your experience? Is it ok to upgrade server from 8.5.1 to 8.5.2?

I found that FP4 installed really slowly - nearly 40 minutes on one of my servers. Apparently it’s a known issue, so you may want to build extra time into your upgrade window. The FP did install, but it requires patience. Search the forum for “FP4 slow”

I assume you should be able to download 8.5.2 from the US site. The Ireland workaround was only needed during the first few days of the release, IIRC.

FP4 is very very slow to install. Upto 3 hours in a windows cluster.We stopped the roll out of FP4 and went straight to 8.5.2. Install is much quicker and painless.
