Same thing happened to me, on both Win XP and Vista.
Subject: RE: Firefox 2.0.0.10
This bit us as well. However, it appears to be related to 7.0.3 as well since I have heard no such complaints from my clients who are using 7.0.2FP2. I will be extracting an old template over then next day or so to see if this can be resolved.
It appears that this latest Firefox release broke a few things… no doubt by plugging holes that people should not have been using to begin with.
There are posts all over the Mozilla forums so no doubt this will get more attention from Mozilla than Lotus. ![]()
In the meanwhile, we’ve discovered that IE7 appears to be working fine. Since we use Firefox primarily because IE7 was a cruel joke platform for DWA (slow and barely functional), this is good news. However, I’d prefer it if we did not have to use IE at all. Since getting off IE at this particular client (of 150+ users) we cut virus/spyware infections from 2-3 a week to 2-3 a year.

After reading through all the posts it sounds like this is an issue with a .jar file with the server and not a FF problem.
—"It wont be fixed. If you read the bug it is already suggested to set it as WONTFIX.
The problem described in comment 37 is that Domino sends one of its jar archives with a wrong content-type. To break the JAR: attack vector firefox does not accept it anymore.
The server must be fixed."
Subject: How to resolve this issue
This problem appears to be related to this security fix in Firefox 2.0.0.10: jar: URI scheme XSS hazard — Mozilla
The domino server’s httpd.cnf file (in server’s data root directory) doesn’t have an explicit mapping of proper Mime Type for the .jar extension. Hence, it is presently returning application/octet_stream.
Adding the following entry to this file (and restarting the web server) will resolve this issue:
AddType .jar application/java-archive # Java Archive

Thanks Vinod, unfortunately I have to suggest this to my administrator before we can apply it and it would be great to get IBM to support the fix.

Thanks Vinod.I have to suggest this to my administrator too.
There is no problem with Firefox 3 beta 1.
Subject: RE: How to resolve this issue
Firefox 3 Beta 1 does not work for Domino release 7.0.2FP2.

SKIP to Bottom for FF 2.0.0.11 info…
I just tested out Firefox 3 Beta 1 with 6.5.3 and for the most part it works. The button options are now working.
Only issue I could find was that when using "Check Names’ - DWA Warning went crazy and was unable to find the name but only if there was multiple instances of that name. So just the address book seems to have an issue but there may be others.
This could serve as another solution for Vista users if they don’t want to go back to FF 2.0.0.9 - of course 3 is still beta so the obvious warnings on that apply
****In addition, this was just released regarding FF 2.0.0.11
http://mozillalinks.org/wp/2007/11/new-firefox-20011-update-on-its-way/
I just tested out FF 2.0.0.11 and found the following things out
about it.
FF 2.0.0.11 RC1- tested on Vista
Working
-Send
-Send & File
-Save As Draft
-New → with all of its options
Not Working
-Options
-Move To Folder
Sort of Works
-check Names → Only fills in field if there is one instance of the user in both Contacts and Marist Address Book
-> If there are two instances, Addressbook fails to list all possible users
Subject: RE: How to resolve this issue
Thread from bugzilla you may want to read in its entirety, but in particular comment #35 2nd option, then further down IBM comments regarding posting support in #50.
Will implement the option on 7.0.2 servers and cross fingers.
Subject: Thanks, Vinod!
Will try the fix on my server when I get home tonight.
Subject: Does Fix Work?
Hey Richard
Were you able to find out if the fix works?
And is there any link to an official technote by IBM?

Subject: RE: Firefox 2.0.0.10

“Avertissement Domino Web access. Votre requête n’a pu être traité pour le moment”
