Fire Service on deleting View Data Response

I have a form with 20 responses in it. When someone manually deletes an entry from the View Data, I need to know which was deleted.

Is there any way we can fire a service when an entry from the View Data is deleted manually?

I want to know the appId of what was deleted and fire a service.

Is this possible?

No, there is no onDelete() event you can use as trigger for the action you need. BTW there is also no onCreate() event, only these events are available:

Another problem is that all JS events run client-side, in the browser so you would not be notified if the form is deleted via service call. IMO the only way how to achieve this is to write an agent using Domino Designer or you can try this https://help.hcltechsw.com/domino/14.0.0/admin/admn_monitoring_doc_deletions.html

There are also multiple AHA ideas that demand audit logs (user- developer- or admin-facing), for example this one: https://domino-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/VOLT-I-351 Please vote for them.

We do not currently have mechanisms for connecting to events of the View Data Page. The best thing to do is to create your own app page or form within the app where you can render the app data. You can then setup your own buttons to execute services to delete, create, or update, where you can then trigger the extra services.

This is a common method of implementation when it comes to building an application and providing a customized interface to working with the data.
