Finding: Groupwise on Win2K or XP needs Microsoft Messaging installed which doesn’t uninstall to allow NOTES to use the “SENDTO” feature in MS Office Suite products.
I have some findings on the XP thing… in case you didn’t talk with lotus… The problem is this: If a customer has Groupwise installed and THEN install lotus (on Win2k or XP) then it screws up the “SendTo” in MS Office Suite. Why? In order to install Groupwise on Win2K or XP you have to install “windows Messaging” or NT messaging. If you trying to uninstall groupwise and this messaging add it actually doesn’t uninstall the messaging bit which keeps MAPI running. So when it looks for NOTES it errors out or even hides the feature. Just so you know…
