Hi all,
I tried the Function with same parameters in both R5 & R6. Only R5 returns rooms. R6 returns nothing.
Is the function being disable in R6?
Thanks

I don’t think it’s disable because this command is use in the resource database.

Hi JY,
Yes, that’s where i found the problem.
I created a DB with the Notes 6 Resource Reservation Template. The DB is fine except it cannot “find a room at specific time” when creating a new reservation.(always no room)
I checked the “Search…” button and see the function ‘@FindFreeResource’ is responsible for finding free resources. The same function with same parameters works fine under R5 client while returns nothing under Notes 6 Client…
I’m using R6.5.1 client. Is it a bug?
Something I’m missing?
Thanks
Sam

Hi,
We have the version 6.5.1 (CLient, Server and ressource DB) and we didn’t encounter any problems with the @FindFreeResource.
Is your romm visible in your domino directory?
On the console, type : Tell sched validate
It’s gonna validate every users and rooms in your directory.

Hi JY,
The rooms are visible in the PAB.
They can be selected when creating a new reservation and select “find a time for a specific room”.
They just cannot be selected when selecting “find a room at specific time”.
I have tried “Tell sched validate” in console and even restart the domino but no luck.
This problem only occurs in R6 reservation form. In R5 reservation form, everythings work fine.
It’s really driving me crazy~~~
Anyway, really thanks for your help ![]()

Hi Sam
Have you had any luck in resolving this issue ?
We used to be on R5 but recently upgraded our servers to R6. We all still use R5 Clients and our Resource Reservations is still the R5 Template.
We have some users reporting that no rooms are coming up as available when they try searching for a room at a specific time. But it does work when they use a Web Browser or if they search for a time for a specific room.
If you’ve had any luck with this issue and can shed some light, it would by much appreciated.

I also have the problem where searching for available rooms results in ‘no rooms available’.
I am trying to test the DST change for Ontario, Canada and created a new R6.5.4FP2 test server.
I created the Room and Resource DB using the R5 Room and Resource template.
I created the test administrator’s mailbox using the standard R6.5.4 mail template.
I created eight test users using the R5.0.8 mail template.
When any user (test user or test administrator) does a Find Room via a new meeting in their calendar, they get ‘no rooms available’.
When any user (test user or test administrator) does a Create Reservation in the Room and Resource DB it returns ‘no rooms available’ if searching for any room. But if they select a specific room and search for available times, it returns the next available time as expected.
In my production environment, we have servers at R6.5.4 with client mailboxes being upgraded to the R6.5.4 design and the Room and Resource DB is still the R5.0.8 design. Everything works fine in the production environment.
Has anyone figured out why this does not work? It must be a server or R&B configuration setting of some kind.
Thanks
Dean

As it turned out, in the Test environment I had to delete the room resources and then the Site. After that I receated a new site and new rooms. The new rooms were available almost immediately.
Thanks

Hi Dean,
When you say, you’ve created resource and did some tests. Did you do you test immediatly after the resource creation?
If so, it may be normal. First, the resource should be replicated on the administration server of your NAB. Second, your test users, should have the same resource replicated in their NAB.Third, do a “Tell Sched validate” on the server console of your resource db.
If it doesn’t solve tour problem, try this–
