There is a bug within scrolling in "Files", which is already visible minimum since IC 6.0. I have opened already several cases, which changed sometimes the behavior but did not solve the problem completely. Even the preview of IC8 shows still the problem.
Problem description:
If you use the grid view (which is default) in "MyFiles" or "All CommunityFiles" and you do have a high screen resolution, more than 25 files are presented. In this case the scroll bar is missing. A workaround is to resize the browser window and increase the grid icons so less than 25 files are presented. Then the scroll bar comes back. If you resize the window again to smaller icons the scroll bar disappears.
I'm wondering why this behavior is not solved as I guess every customer should be effected. I experience the problem in a vanilla 7.0 environment, the HCL Preview 8 environment and in a customers production environment.
Is there somebody else, experiencing this problem?
I have set the paramtere FILES_ENABLE_CONTINUOUS_SCROLLING to false. Could it be the solution is working for the core "Files" App but not for "Community Files"?
That's the status, which I currently see in my vanilla environment.
sorry for the delay. I haven't checked Communities Files. In my case the changed view for Files was enough.
You're right Karl, it only changes the behavior in standalone Files. Maybe @Pritesh Jain can tell us if there is an option for community files too. We discussed this in case CS0304795.
