File _ Open Server doesn't show all

We have 4 instances of Domino running on the iSeries. All four instances (mail, quickr, sametime, and a test mail environment) are running (wrkdomsvr). Up until lately I’ve been able (in the Admin client) to do a File > Open Server and select any of the instances I want to work with. Today I can only see a couple of those instances. What could have happened? What can I check? What can I do to reolve this problem? Thank you - Brenda

You may find Server Bookmarks to be much more useful than the File → Open Server menu… Once these are built, you’ll find a Server-like icon on the left-bar of the Lotus Administrator with which you can use to navigate to any Domino Server within the defined Domino Domains (in Administration Preferences).

To enable Server Bookmarks within the Lotus Administrator:

  1. Open Lotus Administrator client.

  2. Click File → Preferences → Administration Preferences.

  3. Confirm the appropriate Domino Domain is listed. If not, then make the necessary changes so that the Domino Domain(s) which your Domino Servers are a part of are listed.

  4. Check the box down @ the bottom which says “Refresh Server Bookmarks”.

  5. Shutdown Lotus Administrator.

  6. Open Lotus Administrator. During start-up, Lotus Administrator will query the Domino Directory-servers listed under the Domino Domain(s) specified within the Administrator Preferences.

(Optional) 7. I recommend that you then go-back & un-check “Refresh Server Bookmarks”. Refreshing Server Bookmarks every time you open Lotus Administrator increases the amount of time needed to load the Software.
