When trying to open a file through DWA the file comes down with a “.part” extension and cannot be opened.
Server = 7.0.1FP1.
Browser = Firefox (same on both Windows and Mac)
Anyone know what to do about this? (We can’t upgrade the server at the moment but that will come later this year when we move it to 8.5)
Subject: File downloads from DWA cannot be opened - they have a “.part” extension
The .part is an indication that the browser did not complete the download, usually due to a time-out or lost connection to the net.
Subject: I don’t think that can be it. It happens all the time AND the file name that is offered when you click on Save is xxx.part all the time.
Look at the file name in this dialog. It is not the least bit related to the file name that I clicked on in the message to launch the save file dialog! The file has not even started to download so there was no chance of a timeout.

Ok. Did that ever worked?
And I know you probably try this, but if you rename the file, can you open it? It seems more like a Firefox bug than other thing.
Have you change anything in the server? Maybe you upgraded from version 6 to 7?
Does it happens in all the templates?
