Hi.Whenever I try to attach a file to a Mail Memo from a network directory, I get the message:
File truncated - file may have been damaged:
If I move that file from the network dir to my desktop, all is ok attaching it on a memo…
File names are simple, only alphabetic and numeric characters, non spaces or weird ones…
Any hints?
Thanks

Let’s assume, that you work on a Windows Server - this might be a problem with resource and data forks. You might try access via Services for Macintosh (Windows Server) or use DAVE as a replacement of the Mac OS X SMB client.
You should post further information to narrow your problem:

I have this problem also and it was coupled with a change in the mail design template that would auto zip attachments on the windows clients.
My work around is to zip all the files before attaching. I also found that files needed to be zipped individually. If I combined a several files in a single archive, I would also get the error.

Did you already find a solution to this?
We’ve got the same problem here with some (I’ve until now just heard from 2 persons who complained about this) MAC-Clients. The size of the attachments is also truncated down to about 20 KB
Clients: 6.5.4 German
Server: 6.5.4 (for Windows) with german LP
