Field on Web

Hi,

Need a little help…I have a form which is used in a browser, one of the fields I do not want the user to edit but I want them to populate the field using a button (which opens a new window with a selection). My problem is when i set the field to computed, it doesnt show on the web…how do i get around this? also, related to this, how do i do a refresh with JavaScript, is it window.forms(0),refresh ?

Thanks

for refresh :window.document.form[0].refresh

You can use the normal editable field to capture the value. Using javascript u can disable the field edit as well as set the field borders. It will look like a normal computed field.

Put this.blur(); into the OnFocus event for the field and users won’t be able to edit the field.

But bear in mind a user can always disable javascript on their browser in which case they will be able to edit the field… so perhaps best not to use that method if its the Total field on a shopping cart app!
