Field name disappear

Dear All,

I create a simple field, type text , editable in a simple form.

This field name is : daily_detil

After I save the form, I create a view.

I need to assign one of its column value to daily_detil, but I can not find the field name. I can see other field, only one field I can not see.

Even I have deleted and create new one with the same name → still can not.

I create new field with different name, OK → I can see it.

Strange problem.

hi delete the field then goto db property and click compact button then go to server console use compact filename.nsf .

then create the new field name, even i faced this problem so many times, i used to solve like this, but rarely even if i do compact it doesn’t work, just try it.

I have compact manually from database and from server not work.

And i have just notice that some of fields that I have deleted are still appear in the field list.

Any other.

I don’t know why the field does not show, but who cares. Simply type the name of the field.

I wish i could say the same.

Actually the database is already running, the document already collected.

If I rename the field or create new one, I will miss the some data.

Any other suggestion?

I think you are missing the point. The data is in the documents (I am assuming). In your original posting, you indicate that you cannot pick the field name when designing a view column. You do not have to PICK it. You can type the name of the field in the column definition. Then, the view will show the field.

If OTOH, you are not sure whether the data is in the documents, check the document properties. Open the properties box from the view WITH THE DOCUMENT CLOSED.
