Fckeditor hangs the IE

hello there,

i am developing lotus domino web applications

just wondering whether anyone out there encounter any problems with fckeditor hanging the entire IE ?

it seems to happens to me 1 out of 3 times

for your info, i only use 1 richtext in the form with the fckeditor

it hangs when i load the form (document) containing the editor

the fckeditor is installed under the server root directory

i think most probably due to some javascript unterminated loop

any input would be greatly appreciated on how to solve this problem

It is a third party WYSIWYG editor. You can find out about this and other WYSIWYG editors from our Web Editors page. In addition, I did a session at Lotusphere last week showing how to integrate FCKeditor with Domino and the sample databases, slides, etc. are on our website, if you are interested.

there might be something funny going on with the file in your directory. Check the file access rights. Or better:

Use the great example and customization Ben has put into his Lotusphere presentation. You can download the sample from the Geniisoft’s Lotusphere Demo page.

You also might find Chris Toohey’s article helpful.

They both rather store the editor in Domino resources than the file system.
