Failure to support Firefox in DWA

When is IBM going to get off their hands and fix DWA to work with Firefox 3!?

Hey IBM! This is a marketing opportunity here! Why are you ignoring the 20%+ POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS who are TRYING to use Firefox?! If you don’t want Microsoft to take your market share, maybe you should realize that the Firefox users should be your FIRST TARGET MARKET!

How many MONTHS has it been since Firefox 3.0 first came out?! What are you doing?!

Subject: it does support Firefox 3.0

DWA 8.0.2 and iNotes 8.5 do support Firefox 3.0. If there is something that does not work you should open a PMR.

Personally, I haven’t had any problems with any version of Firefox but I am not a heavy user of iNotes.

Hans

Subject: Uh - no it doesn’t.

Yes - it supports 3.0 - but most people who use FF have probably upgraded to 3.5 - and xPages is broken in 3.5.

The frustrating thing is there is not a single response here by IBM on this problem in this forum.

At least for IE8 there is a workaround by using IE7 compatibility mode.

Subject: xPages is not DWA or iNotes

The link you provide seems to be a xPages-problem. We were discussing DWA and iNotes. Or does the problem relates to the use of DWA and iNotes also?

I was talking about Firefox 3.0 and not 3.5. But DWA 8.02 is supported on Firefox 3.5 on all 3 OSes. iNotes 8.5 does not specifically say 3.5 but it is supported on “Firefox 3.0 or later”.

Subject: failure to support firefox

I am using 8.01, and IT IS NOT supporting (now) firefox 3.5. I’m beginning to feel as if those of us installing 8.01 were actually being used for BETA TESTERS! Maybe 8.02 should have been the first version released to the public?john3
