Expanding group names in email To: or cc: list

For example, if I type MYDEPT, how do I get the actual names to expand into all the names in the group? I while ago I remember Notes automatically doing this for me when I sent the note. Now it just keeps the group name.

It would be nice to have it expand since my group names do no match others and replies go to just me instead of everyone unless they actually specify everyone I intended.

Did this behaviour change or am I remembering incorrectly? In either case, is there a way to do this? I did a search but all it talked about was hitting F9 to expand the name but that did nothing for me.

The names only expand if they’re from a group on you local address book. If you keep a local replica of the company address book then that’ll work, depending on whether you’re allowed to of course.
