let me this easy question, exist some newer templates for mail indabases? Or we have to upgrade to newer version Domino?
Can i use for mail in databses teplate for standard mailboxes?

Hello Jan.
You can use the standard mail template for mail-in database.
For Domino 11, the name of the mail template is mail11.ntf.
The mail database template is provided with the Notes client or Domino server.
It is recommended that you use the same version of the template as the Notes client you are using.
This means that you must upgrade your Notes client or Domino server to use the new version templates.

In order to use the newer HCL Notes mail features, you need to be using the most recent mail template shipped with the product. In general, running different versions should work but HCL only recommends this during a phased upgrade process. Mixed product and template versions should not be used long-term. HCL also recommends upgrading the Domino servers first before upgrading the Notes clients.

Hi there,
would the Mail template distributed with the Domino 14.0 FP2 HF7 server (Windows/2019 10.0) work with Notes 12.x clients (32 bit) or would it cause problems ? We do not use Sametime.
We changed our servers to 14.0 but we can't do that yet for the clients.

Hope you are doing well.
The templates of the respective versions are shipped their respective Domino versions. It is recommended to use the template versions of respective Domino versions so the features embedded with the respective template can be utilized.
The Domino/ Notes is backward compactible. You can use the database with old template on newer Domino / Notes versions.
You may be able to use the Notes Database with V14 template on Notes Client 12.x temporarily during a upgrade process.
However, you can test the scenario in your environment with one test account and verify the status.
You can keep the mail database with template v12 until you upgrade the Notes client to Version 14.
