Exchange User Rescheduled Meeting not updating the Notes Calendar with the new time

Hi Guys,…this is a second post

Just tested in our lab. My Exchange 2003 and Domino environment is routing mail via SMTP.

Procedure:

  1. Exchange user create meeting and invite Notes SMTP user.

  2. Notes SMTP user accepts and an entry is made in Notes Calendar.

  3. Exchange user reschedules meeting.

  4. Notes user gets Updated meeting notice and clicks on “Update Calendar”.

Result: The Notes calendar is not updated with the new meeting time. It still shows the original start time.

Has anyone experienced this?..is there a fix?

PS. I looked at the document properties and the StartTime field shows the new time.

This is a good illistration of how domino calendaring works.

The calendaring is kept track via a unique ID in the calendar object within Notes.

Since you sent a new email - (regardless of type) the unique ID to the original calendar entry is lost. The rescheduled meeting isn’t tied to the original at all.

To get this to work - you need to install/configure the Notes Connector and then the Calendar Connector.
