I found out the hard way how easy it is - despite taking lots of care and having done this a million times - to accidentally replicate a local replica of the NAB back to the server, complete with the local views, and agents that I was using. I was in a rush this time and ‘forgot’ to turn off replication before I applied the local template. Lucky for me - there were no major changes because it replicated around the whole environment.
This is a pretty easy mistake to make for any admin due to their enhanced access rights. I was thinking that it would be good to be able to set up an event monitor in the Events4.nsf database to monitor the names.nsf for any design changes and to notify us if/when it occurs. We can set one up for ACL monitoring, I just can’t work out how to set up design monitoring. Has anyone ever done this before?
