Error when delegates search calendar. Anyone know how to make it work?

My users need to search calendars of their managers which have given them access via delegation. They get the following error when they try: You are not authorized to perform that operation.

I’ve tested various permissions. They only way I can get it to work is by given the user Reader or Author access to their manager’s database but that also gives them the ability to access their manager’s mail, which we don’t want.

Anyone have ideas on this?

Thanks,

Greg

Subject: Access to “Mail&Calendar” ↔ to “Schedule”

The owner of the Mailbox has to select the delegation tab “… Mail&Calendar” and to select/check the propely rights.

Selecting the tab “… Schedule” results in the possibility to see free time slots for scheduling a meeting for instance.

Subject: Try “Public Access”

For user_xyz should exist an ACL entry with

  • the Right is set to “No Access” and

  • the Option “Read public documents” is checked.

Then user_xyz can read calendar entrys.

If he/she tries to access an other entry/view it will force an access error message.

If the managers use this the appropriate rigths should be set in the ACL.
