Our company has recently moved to 7.0.1 due to Lotus Domino Redirection problem experienced in 7.0. But now, we have encountered a new problem particularly when opening an attachments inside the email. Everytime users opens an attachment, why do they always get the security warning pop up message that says “You are opening an attachment using an application. Doing so may be a security risk, do you want to continue”. I believe this is quite normal but how do i disable this prompt message.
Secondly, when i click onto the OK button of the warning above, it further prompts me whether to open the attachment directly or save it, typical message right? However, clicking onto the Save or Open button gives me a common error that says “Internet Explorer cannot download…[FILENAME]. Internet Explorer was not able to open the Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.”
Now i am confused. I don’t get this error message when i was still using iNotes template even on 7.0.1 but when i moved to Domino Web Access 7 running on 7.0.1, i get this message even when opening older emails with any attachments.
Please help.
