Error Message: No Cross Certificate capable of validating public key!

Hi

I have recently installed a template from openNTF on one of my company’s Domino servers. Most of the application seems to function ok, but some actions cause the following error message:

Notes Error: The address book does not contain a cross certificate capable of validating the public key.

That message is what i see when using the application through the 8.5 client. When I try and use the web version of the app in Internet Explorer I get an almost identical error message when attempting the same action:

HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - The Address Book does not contain a cross certificate capable of validating the public key.

The OpenNTF project is domBulliten. I did post this question on their forum a few days ago but as yet I have had no response.

Any help would be much appreciated as our Domino administrator doesn’t seem to know what these messages mean.

Many thanks

John

Subject: Sign the dB?

Have you tried signing the database? It could be that there is a design element with the former user that created the database and it doesnt have the right permissions in the server.

Cheers

Subject: Signing the DB

Hi Sebastian

I wasn’t sure of how to do this, however when looking at the list of Agents in Designer I noticed a “Sign” button.

Selecting all of the agents and clicking this button to “sign” them seems to have resolved the issue I was encountering.

Thanks for your response!

John
