Hi

For an entire location of notes user, their clients crash with a ‘nsd is running’ information. At the top of the errofile generated, there is the following text:

“ERROR (0): AdjustTokenPrivileges failed - (1300) Not all the referenced accesslevels are assigned to the caller”

(This is translated from Norwegian, “ERROR (0): AdjustTokenPrivileges failed - (1300) Ikke alle de refererte tilgangsnivåene er tilordnet kalleren.”)

Does anyone know what might be the cause here?

From Doc #1105167 in the Notes Knowledge Base:

Users running a Notes Client on a Windows XP Professional platform in a limited user environment or users on any W32 platform logged in without “Administrator” priviledges, is unable to generate an NSD log file when crashing. The following error is generated:

ERROR (0): AdjustTokenPrivileges failed - (1300) Not all privileges referenced are assigned to the caller.

This was supposed to be fixed in 6.0.2. Is your server 6.5.3 or are your clients 6.5.3?

Clients are all 6.5.3. But the NSD log file is indeed created (on the users home directory, where their data directory resides).

Unfortunately, I have never seen this error. I am only reporting what I found in the Notes Knowledge Base. Although it is supposed to be fixed in your version, the messages you are getting look consistent with what the KB describes, namely that NSD does not have complete access in the failing system (as in can’t attach to process) to do what it needs to do.

If this is a recurring issue, I would suggest giving Admin privileges to at least one user to get a full NSD dumb to troubleshoot the issue.
