The affected user went into user preferences and unchecked show an icon in system tray, clicked OK and then went back in and checked show an icon in system tray, clicked OK with no luck.
Subject: Envelope icon not showing in system tray when new email is received
Check the current location document - server tab and mail tab. Most likely something is wrong here.
If you can’t spot a problem there, try turning on a different notification and see if that works.
There’s a new mail sequence number stored in the .ini file that you can delete if (say) Pop up for new mail doesn’t work either.
