I resolved this. I was wrong, there was no FileSave before checking the @Attachments functions. Sorry to take up space here.

Hi,
I have a requirement on a form:
Before you can mark the document “Complete” (with an action item button), you have to have a file attached in the field “Attachment”. You can only attach one file, and it MUST have the file extension “ZIP”.
The problem here is the front-end/back-end nature of Rich Text fields. I have tried using a separate field with an a formula that uses @Attachments (to find out the number of attachments) and @AttachmentNames (to get the filename of the attachment so I can check the extension).
I cannot figure out how to get this to work. If the user has attached a file earlier, and saved it, I think it is working fine, but if they attach a file, and then immediately click on “Complete”, it is not very reliable. It works for me, but not for another who has Author access to the document, not that I can figure how that plays into it.
Has anybody got any ideas as to how to enforce this rule on the fly? The COMPLETE button has an @Command([FileSave]) command before checking…so I don’t know what I am doing wrong, or if it can be done.
Thanks,
Matt
