Enable domino server for DB2

Dear all

i am not able to enable domino access option under db2 server tab in domino admin

please help me

The ‘not enabled’ and ‘services failed to start’ are errors for two different situations.

Your best bet is to contact support and have them work with you to get the errors straightened out.

Again, without specific error messages, it’s hard to tell what the problem is.

Some things to check:

  • There are many preparation steps prior to hitting the ‘enable’ button on Domino. Verify that you have followed all of the steps to set up the Domino server’s DB2 credentials, create the DB2 administration groups, and grant the appropriate privileges to those users and groups.

  • Use the DB2 CLP to connect to your DB2 server using the Domino server’s DB2 credentials, and verify that you can create a new DB2 database.

  • When creating the DB2 database initially, you should not start the Domino server as a service.

It’s hard to tell without more detailed information, but my guess is that you don’t have the prerequisites set up. The Domino server needs to be on a supported Domino/DB2 platform (AIX, Windows, Linux), and you must have transaction logging enabled on the server.

Thanks for your quick response

i am working on window XP,lotus 8.5,DB2 9.1.i have allready select the option enable in transaction logging actually i have enabled the three option like enable server for db2,edit db2 login information,edit db2 default user but i m stuck on enable db2 access it show me the error domino server is not db2 enabled or db2 service were unable to initialize when the server started up

Please reply soon i am stuck on that problem since last 10 days
