Embed view of of another database dynamically

Hi,

i want to embed a view based on the fields data in the form, one filed is having the database name and another filed is having views name, based on these two values i need to display the embeded view. so guide me how i can do it by code or with formula. it is always the another database not the current database

Way cool. I had forgotten about that little trick; thanks for reminding me.

Note: it doesn’t appear that the frameset trick works with single categegory views - one respondant seems to indicate he’s had some success making it work but provided no details.

You’re right - sorry, there is a later example, again by Nathan Freeman that does single category IIRC - if you search his site you might find it

I went down this road once before and about the only way I could see to make it work was to create subforms, one for each db/view you need then use them as computed subforms.
