Email Signature in Verse

Hi all,

If you set the signature in Preferences and set the font to 10 pt, there is still 12 pt in the empty space (empty side for future text):

And there is no way to fix it.

Can you tell me if this is a bug? Can it be corrected?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Moises

check/change the default text format in the Verse setting, this should solve the issue.

Regards, Andreas

Hello

No, it doesn't help. And there is already set 10pt
The problem is exactly in the signature

Thanks

interesting.. I don't have that behaviour, the format of the signature is applied correctly.

If you go with the cursor on that line in the signature in the preferences, does it really say 10pt? not selecting all text, just when placing the cursor on that line.

Yes, and it only happens on an empty string. Attached second screenshot, you can see the cursor and the size is 12pt

Hello

What is the version of Verse in your environment?
My environment is 3.2.3 and I did not encounter any problems.

The signature data is stored in "HTMLSignature" item in inotesprofile.

Once you delete "inotesprofile" document by the following agent.
https://support.hcl-software.com/csm?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0037174

And set the signature again.

Hi

We have tested this in both 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 versions. The behaviour is the same everywhere.

After setting the font to 10pt you save the signature and then after refreshing the page and changing the signature again you will see that the blank space will be 12pt

Or try setting the signature to 10 pt, refresh the page and write a letter. You will see that the blank space in the signature will be 12pt

All right, this seems to be a bug. Other changes in the signature work, only the size is not saved.

Hi moises,

You may need to try your hand at Verse CSS extensions to make changes to the default rendered styles in Verse.

it seems the 12pt portion is because of the css style being applied to a new paragraph. See if you can do something about it using Verse CSS extension. Pl refer to :

https://opensource.hcltechsw.com/Verse-Extension-Documentation/docs/css-extension/

Havent tested but worth a try. Try to change the style for a para margin bottom to 10pt or some such thing. Or line height within body to 10pt. Looks like something should work.

I have changed the default style for ckeditor in xpages this way by modifying the contents.css in that case. In verse it would be via css extensions. There even might be a way to change the actual css being used by Verse.
