My company are upgrading from R5 to R6. In R5, the mail.box memo form had been edited. The form essentially added a disclaimer field to each outbound message. There was logic behind this code that checked the AltFrom field, and depending on the senders OU2, it would apply one of 6 different disclaimers that refferred to the 6 different business units.
This worked perfectly under R5. However, when you use an R6.0.3 client, even if the mail server, templates and SMTP server remain R5, this extra field is ignored and the message does not get sent with the specific disclaimer.
As, like most of you, I am not a fan of modifying the mailbox.ntf I would ideally like to move away from using disclaimers in this way.
We use MIMESweeper here also, and I know that can append a disclaimer. However, this looks like it can only append a single disclaimer and not interrogate the sender’s address and append a specific dislaimer.
Does anyone know of any software that may do this? Or alternatively, know of anyway this could be done.
