To help with spam, I have ‘Fullname’ selected for Address Lookup within the configuration document. Therefore, it does not work to add aliases to a users person document.
Anyone know of another way to have multiple internet email addresses for one user without having to create another person document?
Thank you.

Use ‘Fullname then local part’ with ‘exhaustive lookup’ disabled

I changed to ‘fullname only’ to help eliminate spam.

thank you for your quick responses. I will give that a try.

okay. i tried this on aliases that I already had set up on my own account, but it is not working. I am receiving a ‘no such user’ message.
Subject: let me add…
I should have said that I have ‘fullname ONLY’ selected.
Subject: RE: No luck…
after adding the aliases to the FullName field go to the ($Users) view and make sure they are appearing in the view. You may need to force a view refresh (Ctrl/Shift/F9). If they show up in the ($Users) view then it should find a route to the mailbox defined in that person doc.

they are in the view. I’m sure it’s because I am using ‘fullname’ in the configuration doc.
Subject: No luck… Replication.
Did the changes replicate throughout the environment?

List the extra email address in the “User name” field of the person document. That will allow you to send mail to that user via whatever address you specify, and also when your server receives incoming mail it will check that field and deliver the mail to the correct person.
