We are curently in the process of converting Group Calendars into the resource reservations system. We are manually entering in reservations and then converting over the names of the reservations owner. Issue being it is not allowing us to edit any repeating reservations. Our clients for the most part are running 6. Our servers are on 8 and the template for the Resource Reservations database is 8.
Are you supposed to be able to edit repeats?
If Yes, why are people not able to anymore.
I tried just creating a new repeat and it too would not allow me to edit it. Not sure!

I have no idea for this case, but probably you can do the some tests if I were you:

Setup V8 client with V8 Server to do the test

Setup V6 Server with V6 client to do another test,
Then you will to know what’s happening

I don’t know about 8 as I have little exposure to it except in test labs but in other versions you generally don’t edit the reservations in the Reservations db, you do it though the client. In particular the person who created it should do any editing.

Cannot edit repeating calendar entry created in Resource Reservations database
Question In Lotus Domino®, you cannot edit repeating calendar entries created in the Resource Reservations (R&R) database, although you can edit single reservations created in the database.
When you try to edit one of the repeating reservations, you receive the following error message:
“This is a repeating reservation and it cannot be edited.”
Answer This is working as designed.
In Domino 7 and later, any single entry or repeating meeting reservation that is booked using Calendaring & Scheduling (by “inviting” the room/resource to a meeting) cannot be edited directly in the R&R database. If you want to edit a meeting that was initially booked in the calendar, you must edit in the calendar itself.
Direct booked reservations (booked by opening the R&R database and creating the entry) can be edited ONLY if there is a single instance. Direct booked repeating meetings cannot be edited at all.
IBM/Lotus recommends utilizing the C&S tool for booking reservations and “inviting” rooms to meetings (from the calendar), as opposed to booking meetings directly in the R&R database.
In previous versions, you could not directly edit booked R&R reservations. This changed in 7 and later releases in that you can update single instances of a non-repeating meeting directly entered into the R&R database but not those created using C&S.

Peopel should be able to edit no matter what?
