Editing received mail causes it to be resent

Has anyone seen this problem before:

User X receives an email with an attachment. He edits that email, deletes the attachment (to save space), clicks “Save and File” and files the document in one of his folders. After doing this, the email is automatically resent to everyone on the original email, with “sent by: User X” above the original sender. I have watched him do it, and he is not doing anything to cause it (ie: hitting “send and file” ). At no point is he hitting “Send.”

Any help is appreciated.

Is this using a Stored Form ? If so, it might have some “Send on save” event code.

Try having the user do this with the Script Debuger turned on.

I have also encountered this problem recently. We are able to re-produce the problem that so long as the mail is edited and saved, it will trigger a sending. This mail is sent to individuals as well as to a group. User is using 6.5.5 version too.

We are still having this issue. Any ideas?
