Hello,
an user here open a document, the document contains an attachments. The user goes to edit mode then double clicks the attachment and chooses “Edit”. He makes his changes in the attachment, saves the attachments and after that re-saves the notes documents. He closes and re-opens the document and views/opens the attachment.
Problem: None of the changes have been saved.
The user has full write rights, whenever i try it on my machine it all works fine. Any ideas?
Subject: Try clearing tmp file folder
Most of the times, the end user has not done the proper operations. But if you are sure of it, I can only think of one case.
Sometimes the files get corrupted in the folder where Notes saves temporary files. Exit all programs, and clear the tmp.
On windows :
C:\Documents and Settings\yourprofile\Local Settings\Temp
and then particularly notes**** folders.
