Eclipse CA error when trying to open mail file

Hi,I am unable to open any mail file via the Notes 8.0.2 Standard client, but they open fine in the Basic client. The mail files are using the standard mail8.ntf template with no modifications, the Notes client has been reinstalled, but seemed to work fine with 8.0.1.

The first error on trying to open a mail file is as follows:

CWPCA6013E: Failed to connect with server: ServerName%2FOrgUnitName%2FOrganisation due to a network error. Make sure that the server is available, and you are connected to the newtork, and have passed through necessary firewalls. Also, verify server Account information.

The second error (pop-up behind the first error) is:

Any help clarifying this so that we can get it sorted would be appreciated.

Subject: Workspace

This is an issue that appears sometimes. There is a folder in your Notes data directory called ‘Workspace’. Try renaming this folder (with Notes shutdown) and restart Notes. This folder contains many eclipse elements that the Standard configuration uses, and it will be rebuilt upon launching Notes.

Subject: still having CWPCA6013E after blowing away the workspace directory

When I went from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2 I got CWPCA6013E errors as described in the head of this thread. The suggestion to blow away the lotus/notes/data/workspace directory has no effect–the notes client rebuilds the workspace then falls on its nose with the same CWPCA6013E. The basic client works OK. The SameTime 8.0.1 client CWPCA6013E’s. Is there a fix? thanx, mv

Subject: uninstall old version

I had the same error before when moving from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2. What I did was backup the data directory, uninstall notes and do a notes installation from scratch and it works. Hope this helps.
