EasySync Pro 4.2 does not work

Hi there,

I’m having problems syncronizing my Palm Tungsten C, using the subject software.

I’m running Windows XP Pro, Lotus Notes 6.0.2 CF1, and Lotus Domino Server 6.0.2 CF1.

My contacts, calendar, and to do syncronize but not my e-mail.

My Palm came with the Versa Mail software already installed. I don’t know if that has to do with EasySync Pro not syncing my e-mail.

Please help.

Thanks,

KG

has this ever worked? make sure you are running 4.2 for sure. when you install 4.2 does it install onto the palm? I am guessing so because you said everything but mail is working.

Make sure when you configure where the mail file is located in Easy Sync that it is pointing to the correct server or LOCAL. And that it is there. Just check the calendar settings and make sure mail is the same. Do you have filtering setup on the mail db in easy sync? Have you forced a config on next connection?

I would uninstall and then install. BUT before you sync I would disable everything but Mail. To make sure this is working correctly.

If this doesn’t work uninstall the mail client that is installed on the palm. Just in case.

if this doesn’t work go to the manufactures site and see if there are any issues with Lotus Notes mail. In fact go there first…

Kevin,i know your frastration!

my thoughts and experience is that you have to disable the notes mail (uncheck it) within easy sync and enable the versa mail. configuring it but creating a new profile in versa mail, delete all previous ones, point it to the notes.ini and thats it, thus you would have to configure the versa mail for it to work with the domino server. within versa mail, it has a connector to communicate with the domino server. i have actually got this working on a Tungsten XX the one with the camera.

but i can not get it working with a Tungsten T, it hangs with versa mail. i tried to disable versa mail and use notes mail within the easy sync, it also hangs, i dont believe that the easy sync (4.2) works with versa mail at all, thats why Palm went off and created there own connector or condulet.

BUT the previous version of palm OS like the Palm M500 uses the older version of the mail on the device. this works very well with easy sync 4x and above.

my Q is, is there a way that we can revert the versa mail to the older mail client on the palm OS?

have anyone tried this before?

any thoughts?

thanks

Jimmy

Thanks guys for your responses.

I’ll try all the options given, and I’ll let you know which one worked.

Subject: The “old” Palm Mail …

For what it’s worth, I believe the problem you’re seeing is that EasySync doesn’t understand the new Palm Versa Mail.

If you want, you could install the “old” Palm mail application. It’s available somewhere on Palm’s site, or I’ve got it posted here:

Jimmy:

Try this:

  1. Download the three files to your local machine (from here: Bleaching Your Vagina - Intimate whitening for a beautiful look.).

  2. On the machine you sync with, click Start >> Programs >> Palm Desktop >> Install Tool

  3. Make sure you’re on the correct user, then click Add, and point at the PRC and PDB files you downloaded.

  4. Once you’ve selected the files, click Done, and the next time you sync to the Palm those new programs/files will be installed.

NOTE: I HAVE NOT tried this with one of the new Tungstens, so be cautious.

I have no idea whether this helps you eliminate any specific issues or not, but I use EasySync Pro 4.2 with VersaMail, no problems. However, this is syng’ing with my R5 app, not my ND6 app. The version of VersaMail I’m using is 1.5.1, and it’s on a very old Palm which doesn’t come with any email “out of the box” (m100).
