I have machine with Win98, Notes 6.0.2CF2, EasySync Pro 4.2.1, and a Palm M500 series which was working fine.
Now, I upgraded to EasySync Pro 4.2.2 and it would not complete the Sync. It gave error message about clicking all applications on the Palm first. I clicked all applications and verified I had a Journal selected as well on the Notes side. I tried totally uninstalling EasySync 4.2.2 and then reinstalling and it still did not work.
I reinstalled EasySync 4.2.1 and it worked fine again.
