I am trying to sync a Palm Tungsten T5 with Lotus Notes v6. I installed the Hotsync Manager v6.0.1 software and the Palm Desktop v4.1.4, both of which came with the PDA. At this point the device sync’d successfully with the Palm Desktop.
I installed EasySync Pro v4.21 (product id 211-101, build 534) to enable me to sync with Lotus Notes v6. Syncing now fails with an error message in the Hotsync Log that says “HotSync Error: Connection is lost (6410)”.
Are there any known problems with the versions of the software above? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about fixing the problem? I’d be happy to send through the EasySync error log if necessary.
Unfortunately same problem (Lotus v5 German, Tungsten T5, Palm desktop v4.1.4). If you browse the internet, you will find many other similar cases …and nobady has an answer.

I then tried to re-sync to the T5 and EasySync comes up with a “possible new user” message and suggests that I follow the instructions on the device screen. There is nothing displayed on the device screen or in the log but in the desktop log I get the following…
and on the handheld log I get “HotSync operation was terminated. Some of your data was not backed up. Out of storage space during update of database ExpenseDB - aborting sync.”
If I deselect Expense from the conduit list I get the same message, just with “update of database - aborting sync” without any reference to which database.

I just got a T5 and encountered exactly the same problem with the same error message. Then, I tried my old workpad 3 with the new Hotsync software (6.0) that came with T5, and it worked just fine.
I tried to sync the T5 with my laptop using Bluetooth but failed, probably because I didn’t set it up correctly. Anyone tried to set up the Bluetooth sync?

Hi,as you all I have the same problem with my T5 device and EasySync 4.2.2.
I Tested it as well with other sync-software (e.g. mNotes) which caused the same problem. I got the error-message to reinstall the Palm Desktop software.

Further to this, I simply plugged in my old T3 and tried a hotsync again (without uninstalling or reinstalling any of the desktop apps) and it worked fine. I did get a strange message from EasySync about a new device but it then went through and completed successfully once I told it to overwrite the Notes calendar to the palm. So it seems the problem is the T5. I also notice in the hotsync log on the palm there is a reference to an out of memory error. Obviously this is a bogus message as the unit is a clean unit with heaps MORE memory available than the old T3 but just in case someone picks up the problem as a result of this
