I have tried multiple times to install the EasySync Pro 4.2.6 product. I previously had 4.2.3, but 4.2.3 does not support Notes 8, so I uninstalled my existing EasySync Pro and tried to install the new one. The install appears to work, but every time I try to launch the program, I get the following errors:
Popup #1:
Unable to initialize databases
Unable to login
Popup #2 (after I click OK):
Error occurred while initializing synchronization engine.
Please try again
I click OK, then the EasySync window appears, but it looks corrupted, and I get a third popup:
Popup #3:
Application failed to initialize
When I click OK, the application just disappears.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling at least 6 times. I have cleaned out my registry of any mention of “EasySync”, “XTNDConnect PC” or “XCPCSync.OEM” (which I found when following the instructions for manually uninstalling the 4.2.2 EasySync, because the 4.2.3 instructions are missing from this web site), but it made no difference.
One other historical item: I originally tried to install the 4.2.4 version on this system at least a year ago, and I know that I got at least the first popup from that one as well (when I tried to Google search for the message, it was already there in the browser cache). At that time, I got the 4.2.3 version, and the install worked. So, it seems that something changed with the 4.2.4 product that prevents it from working on my system.

Notes 7 (I want to move to Notes 8, but can’t until I resolve this).
