E-mail: I get names of people who no longer work in our company!

Hello,

I’m one of the few who has upgraded to Notes 8 (we’re all upgrading this fall). Whenever I’m going to write an e-mail, I get names of people who no longer work in our company. Say, I type “mar” and I get suggestions like “Mark T”, “Marc B”. I first looked in our address book in case they belong to any group, but they’re not there and they’re on our Termination group. I also happen to see myself as Mariel A.B and Mariel Backman (I changed names). What can I do about this?

Subject: I have had this

They are in your local address book, but only displayed in the ($Users) view

This is a really annoying ‘feature’

I had to delete them manually, I’ve no idea if they are meant to be delted by adminp, or you can stop them from getting there in the first place. I suspect it is the ‘recent contacts’ feature that causes this

Subject: Recent Contacts?

Could these contact names be in your Recent Contacts? Open your Contacts application and click “Recent Contacts” in the navigator. If you are using 8.01, you should have the ability to delete the unwanted contacts.

Subject: Thanks to both of you

That seems to be it!
