DST mods to forms6 - mixed server and client versions

Our servers are 6.5.5 FP2 HF5, but due to “issues”, we are still using the 6.5.2 DWA template and the 6.5.2 Notes client.

This forces us to use the 6.5.2 version of Forms6.nsf as well due to incompatiblity between the DWA 6.5.2 mail template and the 6.5.5 version of forms6.nsf.

My question is, since my Notes 6.5.2 clients are NOT accessing forms6.nsf, is it OK for me use use the my 6.5.5 Desigmer client to modify the 6.5.2 forms6.nsf to add the DST changes in TN#1241063 or do I need us the 6.5.2 version of Designer???

I know there could be issues using a later version of Desinger to modify DBs accessed by earlier versions of the Notes client, but the Domino 6.5.5 server will be accessing forms6.nsf and not the Notes clients.

Hi,

I think this is not a problem. As long as you don’t use R7 Designer on a R6 db and then try to reopen it with a R6 designer there is no problem.
