how can I download an email directory off of an nsf database into an excel spreadsheet?

There is an ODBC driver for the various releases of Notes, locate the appropriate driver for the version of notes that you are running, you can then define a data source to query different files, hope this helps!

A little clarification needed…
can I locate this driver through ODBC Datasource administrator in windows XP or do I locate it directly from within Lotus?

I beleive Mary is referring to the NotesSQL driver.

Once that’s installed you need to set up your ODBC connection to the Notes database you want to access. Set up a DSN as you would for other data connections, though you’ll get some different menus for identifying your Notes DB.

o.k, so I downloaded and installed NotesSQL Driver. When I go to my ODBC Datasource administrator (using Windows XP). Under the User DSN tab I click add and choose ‘Lotus Notes SQL Driver’. I get an error saying ‘ODBC Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close’. Is this a problem with the Notes SQL that I downloaded? Anyone else experience this??

hmm, did you change any of the options while installing? With previous versions of NotesSQL, it would try to install the MS ODBC files and I think sometimes that messed up the ODBC files, but with 3.02g, we changed the default of whether to install MS ODBC from Checked to Unchecked, so unless it was manually chosen, it shouldn’t have installed those files… They are no longer needed as all modern Windows versions contain the supported version.
Anyway, what to do, try downloading and installing the latest MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Controls) from their website →
Microsoft SQL Server – choose MDAC 2.8, not the SDK. See if that resolves the problem.

I reinstalled NotesSQL making sure the MS ODBC files remained unchecked and I downloaded MDAC 2.8 and I still am getting this fatal error!
any other suggestions?
