DominoIQ Web-Based Chatbot - Looking For Feedback

Hello All.

I am looking for feedback from the community on the usefulness of having a web-based chatbot feature that uses DominoIQ to provide responses to user requests.

I have a working add-on for any Domino-based web app where you can simply added by including a Subform on your web Forms or XPages.

I have some Use Cases planned for the new DominoIQ Web Chatbot, but want to know if this is useful or more of a novelty.

To see what we currently have, check out this video: https://youtu.be/vW5IVlUNoPo

I can see lot’s of usefulness of this.
But I think that users will require more than a query against an llm beyond version one.
They would want context/knowledge, from the application they are asking from.

I did a short demo of this at the Nordic user group event, showing context from a local application using fulltext search. And what I have heard there might be some rag functions in the new beta coming out in Q1 2026

Hi @FredrikNorling . Thank you for your feedback!

The “Chatbot” currently understands the context of the conversation (up to 5 “Request-Response” levels back).

I hopefully will be receiving the Domino 2026 (V14.5.1) EA2 build prior to it being made available to the public so that I can also include the Domino application context as well. This would then support asking the Chatbot questions such as “How many Opportunities have been successful over the past three months” or “What is our HR Policy for vacations if I have 10 years seniority”.

I am hopeful that I will have this functionality completed in time for the Domino 2026 (V14.5.1) EA2 drop!

That would be really good. Does it useit’s own configuration document for the prompt in The DominoIQ database?

Perhaps having that configurable per chatbot so you can use the prompt needed for a certain database.

another thing would be to have a button to increase the width of the chat window (to increase readability of a big response) and copy the response to the clipboard.
