Domino with Routing and Remote Access bug/problem?!

Everytime we install Lotus Domino R6 on our Win’2K server things are fine UNTIL we either:

a) REBOOT

b) Restart the Routing And Remote Access service

What does Domino do during or after the installation that it disables our internet access in IE across the whole LAN? We can still ping any internet address, but typing in for example www.yahoo.com gives us page cannot be displayed after a lengthy try. No proxy servers. RRAS gives the LAN internet access.

The win’2k server is directly connected to the internet. It does not have this problem.

Uninstall Domino and rebooting fixes the problem.

What is domino doing to rras? Where are the rras files located? Maybe I can back them up prior to installing domino and replace the original rras files with the backup AFTER the domino installation is complete?

Tried that already. Thanks anyway.

OOps. Never mind. No wonder I could never find anything about this. Query must be ICS…I guess I was too specific. I never thought of searching by ICS because I’m not really using ICS…although it is another way of ICS’ing

Thanks for the help! Although the MS article talks about this problem for SQL Server, the symptoms are the same so it must work.

I knew the “ReservedPorts” registry entry was causing it but I just never believed it nor did I understand how that would cause it…but I had that “gut feeling.” Heh.
