Hi all, we run Domino 8.0.1 on Server 2003. We’re trying to get DWA working on a Windows Mobile 6 phone (ATT Tilt) and both the Internet Explorer browser that comes with WM6 and the most recent Opera Mini display a message the the browser is not supported for DWA and it then forces a logout. Is there any workaround for this?
If any developers see this, are there any plans to add DWA support for these browsers? It would really be a nice feature, more and more people are getting smartphones and DWA over SSL would be a great way to get them secure access to their mail easily.
I’m going to try Minimo in a bit and hope it works. Other than that it’s wait for the Windows Mobile version of Firefox to be released and try that I guess.
Thanks.

He currently does use IMAP to send/receive mail and that works fine. But that won’t sync his calendar, that’s the main drawback. Traveler is another story, we get a java error message on the server and phone when trying to complete the setup and initial sync. I currently have a PMR open with the support team and they’re helping with that one.
I know there are other options but I would like to see the web interface work as well. IMAP and Traveler both require setup on the phone, the web interface is something that anyone could use in a pinch with no setup on the phone.
Subject: Thanks Dave. I appreciate that info.
Subject: WM6
Do you have WM 6.1 or do you have 6.0? I was under the impression that WM6.1 incorporates a “more” fully funtioning IE than the stripped down version on WM6.0. If you are running 6.0 then I would suspect that this would be your problem. Until ATT rolls out with WM 6.1 for their phones, we will not know for sure. I beleive that you might be able to run a virtual WM environment on your desktop to test software.

Good to know, thanks. I believe it’s running 6.0, hopefully ATT will release an update for the Tilt at some point to get it to 6.1 and maybe it will resolve this. Otherwise it seems Firefox is the only hope once it’s released for Windows Mobile.
Just as an update, I tried Minimo .02 and that did not work well at all so I wouldn’t recommend that if anyone else in the same boat as me reads this later. It was written for WM5 and although it does work in WM6 it slows the entire phone considerably. Even when Minimo is not open, navigating through the phone was slowed to a crawl. As soon as I uninstalled it the phone was quick and responsive again.
