Hi,One of my customer is asking me questions about the Transactional functionality in Domino.
Can someone put me in the right direction of what to answer.
Questions are :
1/ Each transaction in Domino generates a log. What is the relation between the log and the data for an e-mail?
I have already explains that each changes in a database generates a log ( fe when you open a databases, its generates a log via the API NotesOpen ) but what is the information contained in the log?
2/Does the Transactio Log file contains information from the e-mail, the attachments, its date ?
3/ If someone takes a copy of the txn file, is he able to read information from this file ( via a text editor, fe )?
4/ If the TL mode is set to Circular and the max size is set to 4Gb.What happens if the number of transactions are over 4G and if the BU system does not works correctly. If the server crash during that period, is there any way to verify what was backuped at latest ?
I now that these questions are quite strange but I would appreciate if someone has some answers.
