Domino stats within NT Performance Monitor

I am trying to see Domino stats in the NT (Win 2K) performance monitor. I have followed all the directions in the online doc, but I can’t see Notes as an option within Perfmon. I did the following:

  • Select performance monitor as an option when installing Domino 6.5.

  • Start Domino server.

  • Use NT Command prompt to go into the Domino software directory, type: notesreg.bat .

  • Start Perfmon.

  • Type SHOW STAT at the Domino console, to force stats out.

  • Press the Add button (plus sign) within Perfmon to add Domino info.

  • Look in the Performance Objects drop down list.

  • I do not see LotusNotes or Notes, or NoteStat or anything like that.

??? Any help will be appreciated. Is it possible this works in 6.0.x, but not in 6.5?

TIA,

Subject: More info, 6.5 now works

Not sure what was going wrong here, but Domino 6.5 now works as documented with NT Perfmon. It definitely did not work after several attempts. Then I switched to 6.0, that worked, then I switched back to 6.5 and it worked. I re-ran notesreg.bat each time (and checked the registry) so I know the registered versions were switching.

Oh well, it is possible I was making some small error that I was overlooking. Or it could be that 6.5 really does not work right, but using 6.0 set some registry variable which allowed 6.5 to work. ??? I’ll live with it as is.

Did you install the server statistics when you installed Domino?

There was an option (which you have to select) to be able to see more statistically.

HTH – Cheers

Subject: Yes, I did this.

Subject: More info – 6.0 works…

I decided to try this with my original version of 6.0.0. Lo and behold, it worked! I suspect there may be a problem with this feature in 6.5??
