Hi,
I currently work for a company as a web designer/web programmer. I was recently asked to start learning/working with Domino Designer 6.5. Does anyone know where to get some beginner tutorials on how to use this program? In specific I want to create a custom company wide welcome page. Also, I would like to learn how to create applications with this program. Some ideas which are being tossed around are electronic timesheets (through Lotus Notes), and document retrieval. We basically want to create a company intranet through Lotus Notes. Please advise. Thank you.

As far as books go, the “Lotus Notes and Domino Programming Bible,” and “Lotus Notes and Domino 6 Development, Second Edition” are great references with lots of tutorials and introductions to the Formula Language, Lotus&JavaScript.
Also, I recommend you check out www.recor.com. They’ve got some really sweet training software for Lotus Notes/DominoDesigner/Administrator. Fun for the whole office!
There’s also the codestore.net and openntf.com, though I find as a newb developer myself that I have trouble following a lot of the conversations. Good places to hang out, though, for sure.
Hope that helps. I find that everyone tells me I’m nuts when I get excited about Lotus Notes, but I think it’s probably the sweetest platform for managing and sharing information.
The ability to make it bend to your will makes it even cooler.

Books are a great reference and so are training videos from www.lotusnotes.com if you know what you are doing. I found Lotus Notes application development so much easier to learn when I enrolled in a week long class. Your profile is hidden so I can't readily tell if you live near any of the cities where Learning Tree (www.learningtree.com) is located, but I have taken courses with them and got up to speed quickly.
