Domino crashing on AS400

I have a Domino Server that is crashing on AS400 when multiple users attempt to send to large distribution lists.

All this server is used for is mail and there are only about 250 people it serves. I would like if users would just not email to large distribution lists, but the fact that it can’t handle it makes me think I have this configured wrong.

Can any of you high-powered administrator guys give me any hint what I might be able to adjust on the server.

I have tried increasing the number of threads the server can use and adjusted both the NSF_Buffer_Pool_Size and the PercentAvailSysResources settings as instructed in the documentation. But these seem to have little or no effect.

Please help if you have any suggestions for other things I can try.

6.5.1 was not a very good version for AS400. In fact, if you send the NSD to IBM, they will most likely find a match for a fix in 6.5.4, which is a much better Domino version for 6.5.4.

In my experience, I’ve never heard of a Domino for iSeries “FIX” until 6.5.1 to which we applied about 4.

My recommendation is to upgrade your server to 6.5.4 with FP2. I won’t comment on FP3 since I haven’t installed that one yet.
